In august 2017 the local company Ocean Group Faroes Ltd bought the pelagic trawler Junior (Gitte Henning), which had Hirtshals (Denmark) as homeport. The trawler is named Nýborg.

Most parts of the quayside was use on the 10th of November 2015, when a seismic ship, a supply ship, two trawlers, a bulk carrier (sand), and a salmon feed carrier, where at quayside.
The impressive seismic ship Polar Empress has been at the Port of Vágur since 20th of October 2015. And the norwegian captain, Asmund Fredheim, is pleased to be at a safe sheltered port.
