Most parts of the quayside was use on the 10th of November 2015, when a seismic ship, a supply ship, two trawlers, a bulk carrier (sand), and a salmon feed carrier, where at quayside.
The impressive seismic ship Polar Empress has been at the Port of Vágur since 20th of October 2015. And the norwegian captain, Asmund Fredheim, is pleased to be at a safe sheltered port.
On 20th of October the seismic ship Polar Empress and the research / seismic support vessel Sanco Sky arrived at the Port of Vágur.

In May the polar cruiseship M/V Quest arrived in Vágur, where travellers enjoyed a good day in the beautiful town of Vágur as well as doing daytrips to the beautiful nature around Vágur.
The Port of Vágur is scheduled to be expanded during the next 18 months, creating the best possible circumstances for the offshore oil industry in the North Atlantic. The expansion will be in the new South Harbour.
